6 Speed

General Product Information:Product Name: Sun Race 6 Speed Multiple FreewheelsModel Number: M2ASpeeds: 6-SpeedDesigned for use with 6-speed indexed drivetrains, offering precise and quick gear changes ideal for both recreational and competitive cycling.Detailed Specifications:Gear Range:14-28 Teeth:Smallest Cog (High Gear): 14 teethProvides a higher gear ratio, ideal for faster speeds on flat or downhill surfaces.Largest Cog (Low Gear): 28 teethProvides a lower gear ratio for climbing hills or riding on difficult terrain, making pedaling easier in steep conditions. The 14-28t range provides a balanced combination of gears, making this freewheel suitable for various riding environments, from urban commutes to light off-road use.Design and Shifting:Design:Index Shifting: This freewheel is designed for indexed shifting systems, meaning each gear position is pre-defined for exact shifting with corresponding clicks, ensuring smoother and quicker gear transitions compared to friction systems. This design is highly user-friendly and widely used on modern bicycles.Construction:Material and Finish:Black/Zinc Finish:The freewheel has a black and zinc finish, which not only adds an aesthetic touch but also provides corrosion resistance, protecting it from rust and wear.Durable Steel Construction:Made from high-quality steel, ensuring the freewheel can withstand regular and intense use. The steel material also gives the freewheel the strength needed to handle high torque from pedaling while ensuring long-lasting performance.Mechanism: Threaded Freewheel Design:The freewheel has a traditional threaded design that screws onto standard threaded rear hubs. This makes it compatible with older and some modern bike models that still use freewheel systems, as opposed to cassette and freehub systems. Multiple Freewheel:This is a 6-speed freewheel, which means it provides six distinct gear ratios. It is designed for use on bikes with 6-speed derailleur systems and is typically found on hybrid, road, touring, and some mountain bikes. The 6-speed system offers a wider range of gears than a 5-speed, improving riding efficiency.Performance:Smooth Gear Changes:The indexed shifting design allows for precise and quick gear changes, ensuring each shift lands exactly where it should, with a "click" mechanism for feedback. The indexed system offers better accuracy than friction shifting, especially when riding in changing conditions or at higher speeds.Gear Smoothing:With a gear range of 14-28t, the freewheel ensures smooth gear transitions, whether for maintaining speed on flat terrain or providing extra torque when climbing hills. The lower gears (28t) make pedaling easier, while the higher gears (14t) allow for faster speeds.Aesthetic and Finish:Color:Black/Zinc Finish: The combination of black and zinc gives the freewheel a sleek and professional look. The zinc component enhances the product's resistance to rust and corrosion, making it suitable for outdoor use in varying weather conditions.Compatibility: Bike Types:This freewheel is compatible with a variety of bicycle types, including older road bikes, touring bikes, hybrid bikes, and some mountain bikes. It is often used on bicycles that require a 6-speed indexed drivetrain for more precise shifting. Drivetrain:6-Speed Indexed Drivetrain: Designed for use with indexed derailleur systems, this freewheel is compatible with shifters that "click" into each gear position. It provides reliable shifting performance for a smooth and efficient ride.Brand:Sun Race:Sun Race is a reputable brand known for producing a wide range of reliable and high-quality bicycle components, including freewheels, cassettes, shifters, and derailleurs.
