Specifications: Model: S410 The S410 model from YBN is a high-quality chain engineered for single-speed bikes. It is widely regarded for its strength and reliability, making it a popular choice for riders who demand longevity from their bicycle components. Size: 1/2" x 1/8"1/2" pitch: This indicates that the distance between the centers of two adjacent chain pins is 1/2 inch (12.7 mm), which is standard for single-speed chains.1/8" width: This measurement reflects the internal width of the chain, suitable for single-speed bikes that use thicker chainrings and sprockets. Number of Links: 112 The chain comes with 112 links, providing sufficient length for most single-speed bike setups. Depending on your bike's specific configuration, you may need to remove a few links to get the perfect fit. A chain tool can be used to easily adjust the length. Speed: 1-speed This chain is compatible with single-speed drivetrains, meaning it’s designed for bicycles that operate with only one gear. It’s suitable for BMX bikes, cruisers, lowriders, fixies, and bikes with coaster brakes or internal gear hubs that have a single-speed configuration. It is not compatible with multi-speed derailleur systems. Color: Purple/Chrome The chain features a striking two-tone purple and chrome finish. The purple sections provide a bold, modern look, while the chrome accents add a touch of elegance and shine. This color combination enhances the aesthetic of any bike while providing the same performance benefits expected from a high-quality chain. Material: Steel The chain is made from steel, which is known for its strength and durability. Steel chains are resistant to wear, stretching, and weathering, ensuring they perform well even under tough conditions. This makes the chain suitable for both casual and performance riding. Proper maintenance, such as regular cleaning and lubrication, will help to prevent rust and extend the life of the chain.Features & Benefits: Smooth and Reliable Performance: The YBN AltaLine chain is designed to ensure smooth, frictionless operation, resulting in a comfortable ride experience. This is especially important for single-speed bikes, where consistent chain engagement with the sprockets and chainring is critical. Durability: Thanks to its steel construction, the chain is robust and built to withstand the rigors of daily use, whether you’re riding in urban environments or more challenging conditions. Low Maintenance: Single-speed chains like the YBN AltaLine generally require less maintenance compared to multi-speed chains. A simple routine of cleaning and lubricating will keep the chain running smoothly and extend its lifespan. Easy Installation and Adjustment: The chain’s 112 links provide ample length for most bikes, and it can be easily adjusted by removing extra links. The chain can be installed with a standard chain tool, making it easy to fit to your bike’s specific drivetrain.Compatibility: This chain is designed to work with any single-speed bicycle that uses a 1/2" x 1/8" chain size.
