Hold Fast Cycling 4 Piston Metallic Brake Pads for Shimano Brakes

DescriptionOur Shimano Brake Pads – 4 Piston come in two awe inspiring compounds, Ceramic and Metallic. These are a direct replacement for Shimano’s brakes that use D, H or N type pads. Plus they also work with several TRP and Tektro Brakes. See the list below for a complete list of compatible brakes.Ceramic Pads:Softer compound provides better initial bite than metallic.Quiet, no really, they are very quiet.Easy and quick to “bed in.”Less brake fade than resin pads. Not as strong in wet and sloppy conditions, but still provide great initial bite.May not last as long as metallic, but lasts way longer than resin.Metallic Pads (aka Sintered):Harder compound lacks initial bite, but provides max stopping power under heavy load.Long lasting.Take a longer time to “bed in.”Can be noisy if it’s wet.Good heat transfer and better on long downhills.Good for cold weather, mud and wet conditions.Don’t be afraid to mix and match your pads either. I often run metallic up front and ceramic in the rear. If you have a lot of long hills in your area, we suggest reaching for the metallic compound. If your braking is quick or you’re in a relatively flat area, we suggest the ceramic. The Shimano Brake Pads – 4 Piston fit the following brakes: M9120, M8120, M7120, XTR M9120, XT M8120, SLX M7120, Saint M820, MT520, MT420. These are replacements for what Shimano calls their D, H or N type pads. TRP: DHR EVO, Quadiem, SL, SlateT4. Tektro: HD-E725, HD-M735, HD-M745, HD-M750
