Shimano Saint BL-M820 + BR-M820 M820 I-SPEC B Clamp Band Hydraulic Disc Brake Set Description: Shimano Saint M820 - Pure Gravity With its unrivalled durability, stability and ergonomics, the Shimano Saint M820 is champions' first choice. Accordingly the components which are built for the eager Downhill racer, let you accelerate and decelerate at World Cup level. A super stable and silent drivetrain as well as powerful and responsive brakes make the Saint a real Downhill race weapon. Shimano Saint M820 brake set consisting of the BL-M820 SERVOWAVE brake lever and the powerful BR-M820 4-piston caliper for Downhill use. Trouble-free maintenance is provided by the proven One Way Bleeding concept and the Easy Hose Joint System which simplifies brake hose exchanges. J-Kit (Easy Hose Joint System) At brake systems with J-Kit hose joint the brake lever features an integrated olive what makes an easy brake hose installation and removal possible. Shimano SSaint BL-M820-B brake lever The world's best gravity riders rely on Shimano Saint brakes to deliver ultimate stopping power and nuanced modulation no matter the conditions. Thanks to an ergonomic, antiskid shape, the BL-M820 SERVOWAVE levers guarantee sure braking even in the roughest terrain. In addition the 2-finger levers feature tool-free reach and free stroke adjustment. Equipped with the integrated I-Spec B mounting system for a compact attachment of compatible shifting levers. SERVOWAVE Shimano's SERVOWAVE technology improves brake lever's modulation ability. Because the lever absorbs a lot of braking distance right at the start of its movement, the brake pads have disc contact more quickly and it remains more lever travel to adjust braking force. That is why SERVO WAVE brake systems are characterized by faster response, higher performance and shorter idle travel. Shimano Saint BR-M820 disc brake caliper With its 4-piston construction, the Shimano Saint BR-M820 Postmount brake caliper meets perfectly the demands of Gravity and Downhill riding. The H03C Metal brake pads with Ice-Tech cooling fins in combination with the powerful 4-piston caliper made of ceramic guarantee an extremely good heat management what results in excellent deceleration. Ice Technologies The fading which can occur to disc brake rotor and pad when braking on a long downhill ride for instance, has a negative impact on the braking performance. Shimano has adopted Ice-Tech disc brake rotor and brake pad to realize the cooling technology for consistent performance. The disc brake rotor blade which has a 3 layer-sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminum and stainless steel, provides better radiation performance achieving a lower surface temperature. Aluminium cooling fins have been adopted the brake pad improving the radiation performance even further. In combination the disc brake rotor blade and the radiator fin provide long pad life, less noise, less fade and lightweight.
