The only change we made was optimizing the shape of the bearing dust covers on both ends of the hub and added a screw loosening–prevention design. so the second-generation version looks slightly more refined when viewed up close.

The one piece is marked GTO Thunder Bird Shimano, the lever isn't marked that I could see and the other piece has a circled F, unsure who makes the 2 pieces.
