26" Chrome Dual Spring Monark Type Springer Fork with Disc Brake Mount Cool New Import Chrome 26" Dual Springer Monark Type Fork with Disc Brake Mount for Custom, Cruiser, Schwinn, Rat Rod, Vintage, and Chopper Bicycles. Fork is Chrome Plated Steel to be use with 1" threaded headsets and 26" wheels or smaller. The fork is a New Similar copy of the Old Monark Springer Forks. The Quality is good, and actually better than the Original Monark Fork. At first glance I thought the forks was a tad on the cheep side but after rigorous testing I am quite impressed with the quality and performance, although I would not recommend this for a motorized application. The Fork has a 1 " Threaded Steer tube and works with 1" or 25.4 mm threaded headsets, the steer tube is approximately 9 3/4" long with about 6" of Threading with a 27mm race Diameter. The Fork's threaded Steer Tube will fit a variety of of vintage and new cruiser frame head tubes, and will need to be cut down for your application. You CAN NOT actually even use it full length it must be cut down for your application, why it has such a long fork tube is a Mystery to me. Always Measure twice and cut once, as there are no returns after cutting. It will help to assemble dry and is strongly suggested that you use one of our Cruiser Headsets we have in our ebay store. The Fork Dropout width is approximately 102mm and has 2 3/4" or 70mm tire clearance, from my experience 1/4" clearance per side is prime, but I have used closer tolerances. There is a Tire to Rim variable in tire sizes when actually mounted on rim, but from our experience your good with a 26" x 2.5" tire and a larger can be a tad tricky. The Fork accepts / uses a 7/8' or 22.2 mm quill stem (Very Common). Springer Forks should be dialed in for best performance, do not run your springer fork loose or sloppy as this will will hurt performance and longevity.
